Day trip to the Open Golf by Train

This year The Open Golf Championships will be held at Royal St Georges Sandwich.  There will be a day trip to the Open Golf by train each day starting from Guildford, calling at Reigate and Redhill.

The days the excursion train will run:-

Wednesday 14th July 2021 (Practice Day)

Thursday 15th July 2021.
 ( 1st Round – All 156 players are on the course)

Friday 16th July 2021
 (2nd round – all 156 golfers are on the course)

Saturday 17th July 2021
Final 72 golfers

Sunday 18th July 2021
(The final round)

The exclusive train will take you to the Open.  At Royal St Georges you can choose whether you want just ground access or Hospitality package.

You will get a good 8 hours at the Championship course. Watching the full field.

 

The Golftrain full day in detail.

The special exclusive train will leave Guildford at 06.30 call at Reigate 06.55 and Redhill 07.10.  

On the Golf Train you have the choice of Club or second class.

Whichever class you decide to travel   You will have your own reserved seat to the championship and from and access to the buffet/Restaurant car.

Club Class: Are the delightfully restored first class on the train, with nice first class seats. There are only a few seats so early booking is essential.

Standard class:  All parts of the train are restored to a high standard. Seats available in one, two and four configurations.  There are very limited numbers of one and two seats on their own, so book early if you want one of these seats.  

The Buffet Restaurant: There is a full restaurant/ buffet car selling hot and cold drinks and food. The train has a full alcoholic licence. 

You will get to the course about 09.00 where you can choose here whether you want just ground admission, or hospitality in Champions,Engravers,Caddies or Scorers Premium.

You depart the course at 5pm and will get back to Redhill 18.50, Reigate 19.00 and Guildford at 19.30.  On Saturday and Sunday these times will be later to encompass the end of play for that day.

Making full use of your reserved seat and the buffet car.

Tickets for this exclusive direct train will be on sale in January 2021.  Club and standard fully reserved seats will be available.
